CARRERA AVENTURA SAN LORENZO 2024
La carrera “Aventura San Lorenzo”, es una competencia de aventura que se realiza en la denominada Provincia de los Glaciares, específicamente en la comuna de Cochrane. La décima versión de este desafío deportivo se desarrollará durante los días 28 y 29 de septiembre de 2024. Se corre únicamente en duplas con integrantes de una edad igual o superior a 18 años. La aventura contempla las disciplinas de trekking, kayak sit on top dobles, bicicleta de montaña y orientación. La modalidad de la carrera es Mixta.
La versión del 2024, se va a correr en EQUIPOS DUPLAS. Para participar se requieren una buena condición física y conocimientos básicos de navegación con cartografía diseñada para la carrera. Todas las categorías deberán realizar las etapas de la competencia definidas con diversos puntos en la carta, durante los recorridos deben tener en cuenta que deberán ir por bosques, cerros, y cruzar ríos y arroyos cordilleranos.
Los trayectos deben realizarlo completo todos los integrantes del equipo, pasando por cada Punto de Control en las distintas disciplinas, por lo que si uno de los dos abandona la competencia, el equipo completo será descalificado.
La carrera contará con Puntos de Control (PC), apoyados por personas de la organización, además podrán existir Puntos de Control Virtuales (PCV), en el cual los corredores deberán sacarse fotografía digital del punto a marcar, con cámaras fotográficas, las que deberán mostrar en el próximo PC para que se les marque el pasaporte. En todos los PC debe registrarse a ambos corredores. En etapa de kayak deben aparecer con el Kayak. En etapa de MTB deben aparecer con ambas bicicletas.
Los Equipos deben estar preparados físicamente, así como disponer del equipamiento adecuado de abrigo y protección, el cual será solicitado y chequeado en el proceso de acreditación, el día antes del inicio de la competencia. De igual modo, la organización, para fiscalizar el cumplimiento del equipamiento, realizará chequeos en los Puntos de Control, donde el no llevar alguno de los implementos implicará a una sanción para el equipo en tiempo adicional de carrera. Equipos sin radio tendrán sanción en tiempo y no podrán realizar las etapas de trekking.
El valor de la inscripción para este año tendrá un valor de $50.000 CLP por corredor.

The «Carrera Aventura San Lorenzo» is an adventure competition that takes place in the so-called Province of the Glaciers, specifically in the city of Cochrane. The 2024 version will be run in DOUBLE TEAMS. To participate, a good physical condition and basic knowledge of navigation with cartography designed for the race are required. All categories must carry out the stages of the competition defined with various points on the menu, during the routes they must take into account that they must go through forests, hills, and cross rivers and streams of the Andes.
The routes must be completed by all the members of the team, passing through each Control Point in the different disciplines, so if one of the two leaves the competition, the entire team will be disqualified.
The race will have Control Points (PC), supported by people from the organization, there may also be Virtual Control Points (PCV), in which runners must take a digital photograph of the point to be marked, with cameras, which they must show on the next PC so that their passport is marked. On all PCs you must register both brokers. In kayak stage they must appear with the Kayak. In the MTB stage they must appear with both bikes.
The teams must be physically prepared, as well as have the appropriate warm and protective equipment, which will be requested and checked in the accreditation process, the day before the start of the competition. In the same way, the organization, in order to supervise compliance with the equipment, will carry out checks at the Control Points, where not carrying any of the implements will imply a sanction for the team in additional race time. Teams without a radio will be sanctioned in time and will not be able to carry out the trekking stages.
